St Louis Arch

I was recently in St Louis for the first time and I took a few shots of the Arch.
The first three are the museum under the arch.
The next few are the arch.
The last one is a power company near by.

A Much Needed Vacation

Charleston, SC.

Last week my girlfriend and I took a much needed vacation away from Cincinnati.
We went to Charleston, South Carolina, neither one of us had ever been there.
It's a really neat place with a lot of history and a lot of churches.
The people were super friendly and there is a ton of stuff to do.

1940s Throw Back

The Cincinnati Museum Center recently held a Tribute to the 1940s.

They had a Vintage car show, Vintage Military gear,
a course on hair styles and make-up from the era
and a big band in a room full of swing dancers.

Unfortunately I missed going Saturday,
which was the day most of the cars were there,
but i still enjoyed it and here are a few shots i got.

Forgotten Wheels

I came across these wheels lost and forgotten in the woods.

Cincinnati Zoo

On Monday I took a trip to the Cincinnati Zoo
It was 100 degree and the animals weren't very active.
I don't blame them but here are a few shots.

Memphis Belle: B-17 Flying Fortress

Last week The Memphis Belle B-17 Flying Fortress
was at Lunken Airport in Cincinnati, Oh.
For $475 you could go for a flight in this monster,
Unfortunately I did not have the money to do so,
nor was i able to get off work in time to take a tour around or inside the plane.
These pictures were taken through the fence,
since i did not want to completely miss the behemoth.

The Liberty Foundation operates this piece of history
and its currently in the beginning of a 50 state tour.
They also have a P-40 along with this aircraft and I unfortunately miss that also.
If you would like to see The Memphis Belle visit The Liberty Foundation
to see if it will be making a stop near you.

Luckily for everyone in Cincinnati another B-17 will be back in September thanks to the B-17 Tour.
